Space Tilters is a tilt-controlled arcade shooter: defend against descending waves of alien characters, protect your ship behind eroding barriers, and climb an endless, ever-faster ladder of levels. This page covers how to play, how the customization features work, and how to reach us if something's wrong.
From the main menu, PHOTOS lets you replace any of the four alien rows or your own ship with a photo from your library — it's cropped to a square and scaled down automatically, so any picture works. SOUNDS lets you type a word for any game sound (a shot, a hit, game over, and more) and choose the language it's spoken in; your phone's own voice renders it once and reuses it from then on.
Both are entirely on-device. Nothing you upload or type in these two screens ever leaves your phone — see the privacy policy for details.
Sharing a fleet or sound set: the Share My Fleet and Share My Sounds buttons send your customization as a real .stpack file the recipient can import straight into their own copy of the game. Send it with AirDrop, Mail, or the Files app — those all reliably offer "Open in Space Tilters" when the file is tapped. Messages doesn't — iMessage's own attachment preview doesn't consistently offer third-party apps as an option for less common file types, regardless of how the receiving phone is set up, so a pack sent that way may just sit there with no way to open it. This is a Messages limitation, not something wrong with your download.
Space Tilters uses Game Center for its global high-score leaderboard. Sign in (or skip it) the first time you launch the app — a small Game Center icon appears on the menu and game-over screens whenever you're signed in, and every run's score is submitted automatically.
Space Tilters shows the occasional ad through Google AdMob: an interstitial when you return to the main menu (never more than once every few minutes), and — only if you choose it — a short rewarded video for one extra life after your last one runs out. Declining that offer costs you nothing.
Rather not see ads at all? Tap REMOVE ADS in the corner of the main menu for a one-time purchase — no subscription, no recurring charge. See the privacy policy for exactly what data Google's ad SDK collects.
Already bought it, on another device or before reinstalling? Open REMOVE ADS from the main menu and tap Restore Purchases — no need to buy it twice. And if you paid for Space Tilters outright back when it was a paid app, you're recognized automatically and never see an ad in the first place, with nothing to restore.
My phone doesn't seem to be steering the ship.
Tap RECENTER while holding your phone the way you'd like to call "straight ahead" — the game measures tilt relative to that baseline, not to true vertical.
How do I go back to a default alien photo or sound?
Open PHOTOS or SOUNDS from the main menu — any row you've customized shows a small reset icon next to it.
I don't see a leaderboard icon anywhere.
You're most likely not signed in to Game Center. Check Settings → Game Center on your device, or dismiss the sign-in prompt again the next time you launch Space Tilters.
I sent a fleet/sound pack over Messages and can't open it.
This is a known Messages limitation, not a bug in your download — iMessage's attachment preview doesn't reliably offer "Open in Space Tilters" for a .stpack file. Send it again with AirDrop, Mail, or the Files app instead, and it should open normally.
I removed ads already (or bought Space Tilters outright) — why am I seeing them again?
Open REMOVE ADS from the main menu and tap Restore Purchases. It's tied to your Apple ID rather than your device, so it works the same way on a new phone or after a reinstall — you shouldn't need to buy it twice.
Email us and we'll get back to you.
